Top Three Tover Highlights 2022
As we kick off a new year, we’d like to take the time to reflect on our most memorable moments and accomplishments of 2022.
Our researchers worked diligently to co-design new games that were released across the globe, bringing joy to seniors and adults living with cognitive challenges. After a long travel hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, travel opened up again, and Tover staff traveled to the US to provide in-person demonstrations of the Tovertafel. Lastly, new partnerships have opened doors to Tovertafel distribution in the US and Canada
Here is our 2022 year highlights in review:
1. New Tovertafel Game Releases
This year, Tover released 12 new games for the Tovertafel. One of our and residents’ favorites is the Music Hits game, where musical notes dance across the table, playing pre-1970s hits on the jukebox like ‘Que Sera, Sera’ and ‘Les Champs-Elysées.’
It warms our hearts knowing that this year, seniors, including those with dementia, broke out in song across the globe.
Other highly rated games among players included Cash Register, Sound Carousel, and Luggage .
2. Conferences and Trade Shows in the US
Tover staff had the opportunity to travel to the US for multiple conferences and trade shows this year, including LeadingAge 2022, the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC), the Senior Living Executive Conference and Expo (SLEC), and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Tover joined thousands of other technology companies at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV where the Tovertafel was recognized as one of the most innovative products coming this year. Read more about the CES 2022 Editors’ Choice Award here.
In July, 2022, Tover Co-Founder Sjoerd Wennekes and Senior Researcher Claire Bernaards attended the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) in San Diego, CA. Tover had a booth with the Tovertafel on display, and Claire and Sjoerd spent a few days networking with fellow scientists, researchers, and the care community. 3. New Partnerships
In November, 2022, Eugeria became the exclusive distributor of the Tovertafel in the US. Since 2021, this Quebec-based company has been the distribution partner for the Tovertafel in Canada. Tover is thrilled to expand this partnership, which will lead to many more joyful moments for seniors living with dementia in the US.
